Calhoun City Council Approves Lowest Combined Millage Rate in a Decade

CALHOUN, Ga. — At its meeting on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, the Calhoun City Council voted to approve the upcoming millage rates for both the City of Calhoun and the Calhoun City School System.

The City maintained its current millage rate of 3.50 mills, while the Calhoun City School System adopted the full rollback, reducing its rate from 14.878 mills last year to 13.735 mills.

The combined rate now stands at 17.235 mills — the lowest total millage rate Calhoun residents have seen in the past 10 years.
