A Calhoun man is back behind bars after authorities say he was caught trafficking more than two pounds of methamphetamine.
Shaun Corey Farrell, 47, of 980 Red Bud Road, was arrested on October 13, 2025, following a two-month joint narcotics investigation conducted by the Calhoun Police Department’s Special Operations Division, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the Dalton Police Department. Investigators reported seizing more than one kilogram (approximately 2.34 pounds) of methamphetamine during Farrell’s arrest.
The Georgia State Patrol and the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
Farrell had been released from the Georgia Department of Corrections just months earlier, on May 21, 2025, after serving time for meth trafficking and driving-related offenses.
He now faces multiple charges, including:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine (1062.2 grams or 2.34 lbs)
Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
Possession of Methamphetamine
Driving While License Suspended or Revoked
Removing/Affixing License Plate with Intent to Conceal or Misrepresent
Farrell remains in custody as the investigation continues.
