The Gordon County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal rollover crash that occurred early Sunday morning on Pine Chapel Road.
According to Gordon County Coroner Nick Blalock, 48-year-old Wesley Matthew Freeman of Calhoun was killed in the single-vehicle accident during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026.
“The Gordon County Coroner’s Office can confirm that Wesley Matthew Freeman, 48, of Calhoun, was killed in a rollover accident on Pine Chapel Road in the early morning of Sunday, June 28, 2026. The Coroner’s Office will continue its assistance of the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office and Mr. Freeman’s family,” Blalock said in a statement.
The circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been released. The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the accident, with assistance from the Gordon County Coroner’s Office.
