Calhoun, GA — Last week, officers from the Calhoun Police Department and troopers from the Georgia State Patrol joined forces to support a Driver’s Education class aimed at preparing young drivers for the road.
Hosted by Calhoun City Schools, the program focused on critical safety topics such as the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, the importance of obeying speed limits, and proper seatbelt use.
Law enforcement officers spoke directly with students, offering real-world insight and reinforcing safe driving habits.
“It’s always a pleasure to work with our local school system,” the Calhoun Police Department stated. “Programs like these are vital in our ongoing efforts to promote student and driver safety in the community.”
The collaborative initiative highlights the commitment of local agencies and educators to keep young drivers informed and safe behind the wheel.
