Registration is now underway for the Calhoun Recreation Department’s 2026 fall sports season, offering a variety of athletic opportunities for children of all ages.
Families can now register for football, cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, and cross country. Registration is available online at calhounrec.com or in person at the Calhoun Recreation Department, located at 700 West Line Street.
The department is offering both flag and tackle football this fall. Flag football is available for children ages 5 and 6 with a registration fee of $55, while tackle football is open to ages 7 through 12 for $65. Football registration runs through August 4, with an age control date of September 1.
Cheerleading registration is also open through August 4 for children ages 5 to 12. The registration fee is $65 per participant.
Youth soccer registration is available through July 30. The Under-6 division costs $50, while registration for Under-8 through Under-12 age groups is $60. The age control date for soccer is September 1.
Girls ages 8 to 14 can register for youth volleyball through July 30. The registration fee is $50, and the program welcomes players of all skill levels.
Cross country registration is open through August 3 for boys and girls ages 8 to 14. The registration fee is $50 and focuses on building endurance, developing friendships, and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Recreation officials encourage families to register early to secure their child’s spot before deadlines arrive. The department says it looks forward to welcoming athletes to the field, court, track, and sidelines for another exciting fall season.
