AdventHealth Gordon is proud to recognize Carrie Peek, RN, as the latest recipient of the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, an honor that celebrates the compassionate care and dedication nurses provide every day.
Peek, a nurse navigator with the AdventHealth Gordon oncology team, was selected for her outstanding commitment to helping cancer patients and their families manage appointments, treatment plans, and the emotional challenges of their journey. Known for her kindness and devotion, she provides not only clinical guidance but also encouragement and support during some of life’s most difficult moments.
One patient’s family shared in their nomination:
“Carrie was there every step of the way for me and my wife. It did not matter what question or worry I had — she was there. It did not matter what day it was — she would answer her phone. Getting through this was so much easier with Carrie by our side. She calmed my nerves and gave me good vibes and encouragement through it all. In my opinion, Carrie is one of a kind. God bless her, Dr. Lee, and the entire staff at the hospital.”
