Motorists in Gordon County should continue to expect delays as a portion of Craigtown Road remains closed for a culvert replacement project.
According to the Gordon County Public Works Department, Craigtown Road is closed near the 764 address and will remain closed through 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, while crews complete the culvert replacement.
During the closure, motorists should follow the posted detour using Gee Road to Damascus Road, then U.S. Highway 41 before reconnecting with Craigtown Road.
Drivers are encouraged to plan for additional travel time, use caution in the work zone, and follow all posted detour signs until the project is completed.
