Downtown Calhoun Kicks Off Holiday Season with Annual Open House This Sunday

The holiday season officially arrives in Downtown Calhoun this Sunday, November 23, with the return of the beloved Holiday Open House. Running from 1–6 p.m., this long-standing tradition—celebrating more than 20 years—offers residents and visitors a festive way to start their holiday shopping.

Local boutiques and small businesses will welcome shoppers with unique gifts, seasonal décor, and personalized customer service. Many stores will also offer complimentary gift wrapping, making it easier than ever to check off holiday lists.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a Downtown DJ will spin classic and contemporary holiday tunes throughout the afternoon. Pretty in Paper will host a gift-wrapping station for shoppers looking to have their presents beautifully packaged, and limited-edition Downtown Calhoun holiday gift tags will be available for free.

Families can enjoy holiday entertainment with a screening of The Polar Express at The Gem Theatre, with showings at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., as well as a stroll through the 20th Annual Festival of Trees at the Harris Arts Center, featuring creatively decorated trees from the local community.

The Holiday Open House promises an afternoon of merriment, shopping, and holiday cheer for all ages. Downtown Calhoun invites the community to come out, support local businesses, and kick off the season in style.
