Dr. Michele Taylor has been recognized with the Jim Puckett Outstanding Educator Award at the 2025 Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) Summer Conference. The annual conference, held under the theme “Leading Fearlessly: Inspiring Growth, Empowering Achievement,” kicked off by honoring some of the state’s most exemplary education leaders.
Presented by GAEL Executive Director Ben Wiggins and Georgia School Superintendents Association (GSSA) Board Member Dr. Noris Price, the award celebrates outstanding leadership in education and is named in honor of GAEL’s third Executive Director, Dr. Jim Puckett. Dr. Taylor represented the GSSA as this year’s recipient.
Dr. Taylor has played a significant role in Georgia’s education leadership community, serving as Past President of GSSA and contributing as a member of both the Executive Board and Board of Directors since 2016. She has also served on the GAEL Board.
Her decades of service and commitment to educational excellence have made a lasting impact across the state.
