A serious crash on Interstate 75 in Gordon County Thursday, September 4, left one driver injured and transported by Life Force helicopter for treatment, according to preliminary information released by the Georgia State Patrol.
Authorities said a black Ford Explorer was traveling north near mile marker 316 when the driver may have suffered a medical emergency. The SUV veered off the right shoulder of the interstate, climbed a steep embankment, and struck a small tree before coming to an uncontrolled stop.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the driver was flown to Wellstar Kennestone Medical Center by Life Force for medical care.
The incident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
