The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists to use caution as patrol units report flooding on several roadways throughout the county.
According to officials, flooding has been reported on Sam Hunt Road, Mauldin Road, and Covington Bridge Road. Drivers are urged to avoid these areas and use alternate routes when possible.
Motorists should also remain alert for standing water on roadways across Gordon County, as conditions may change rapidly. Officials warn that driving through flooded areas can be dangerous, as water depth and road conditions may be difficult to judge.
Residents are encouraged to slow down, obey road closure signs, and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
