Calhoun Animal Control is offering free adoptions through December 31 in an effort to find homes for animals currently in its care.
The shelter is at full capacity and is asking for the community’s help to make space for incoming animals. Officials say each adoption helps reduce overcrowding while giving pets a chance at a safe and loving home.
Residents who have been considering adding a pet to their family are encouraged to visit the shelter and meet the animals available for adoption.
Calhoun Animal Control is located at 202 Kirby Road.
