VAC Celebrates 50 Years of Operation Happy Christmas, Calls for Early Sponsors

The Voluntary Action Center (VAC) is marking a major milestone this year as it launches the 50th anniversary of Operation Happy Christmas, a cherished community tradition that brings holiday joy to local children and families in need.

As the program enters its golden year, VAC is urging community members to get an early start on the season of giving by signing up to sponsor a child or family. The organization aims to secure 500 sponsors by the end of July, giving organizers the time needed to maximize outreach and impact.

Sponsorship registration opens July 1. Those interested can sign up by scanning the QR code on VAC’s promotional materials or by calling 706-629-7283.

Operation Happy Christmas has delivered warmth, gifts, and holiday cheer to thousands across the region for five decades. With the help of the community, VAC hopes to make this year’s campaign the most impactful yet.

215 North Wall Street, First Floor, Calhoun, GA
Phone: 706-629-6812
