GEM Theatre Invites Community to Support the Arts on Giving Tuesday

SHARE NOW

The historic GEM Theatre is celebrating Giving Tuesday by encouraging the community to help sustain the beloved Calhoun landmark and its year-round arts programming. As a nonprofit organization, the GEM relies on community support to preserve the theatre’s iconic character while continuing to offer affordable entertainment and cultural experiences for all ages.

From live concerts, comedy shows, and community events to its popular free movie series, the GEM Theatre remains a cornerstone for arts and entertainment in Calhoun-Gordon County. Theatre leaders say this mission is possible only through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and local partners.

Ways to Give Back

Supporters have several opportunities to make an impact this Giving Tuesday:

  • Donate funds to support daily operations and historic preservation

  • Become a GEM Member

  • Sponsor a movie, concert, or artist meal

  • Volunteer time or professional skills

Every contribution—large or small—helps the GEM keep the arts accessible and ensures the theatre continues to thrive for future generations.

Community members can donate at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?donation=gemth, explore additional ways to support at www.calhoungemtheatre.org, or contact the theatre directly at [email protected] or (706) 625-3132.
