Calhoun, GA — The historic GEM Theatre is taking a short summer intermission this week for cleaning and preparation as it gets ready to welcome back audiences with a full slate of entertainment.
Kicking off the fun is the FREE Back-to-School Movie Series, starting with a fan favorite—“Napoleon Dynamite”—on Friday, August 2 at 7:00 p.m. Families and film lovers alike are invited to enjoy this quirky comedy on the big screen at no cost, just in time to wrap up the summer.
The theatre’s beloved live music performances will also return the following week. On Friday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m., Chris Collins and the Boulder Canyon Band will take the stage for a heartfelt Tribute to John Denver, bringing the iconic folk singer’s hits to life in a night sure to stir nostalgia and joy.
