Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) honored 14 graduates of its Electrical Lineworker program during a ceremony held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Polk County Campus in Rockmart.

The students completed an intensive 10-week training program that combined classroom instruction with hands-on experience using donated equipment, including utility trucks, poles, and climbing gear. Taught through GNTC’s Office of Economic Development, the program equips students with industry-ready skills and credentials.

Graduates earned four certificates of completion: Electrical Lineworker, a restricted Class A Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) license, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry, and an overall certificate verifying 395 hours of training.

This fall’s class marks the ninth cohort since the program launched in fall 2022.

Graduates from the fall 2025 cohort include: Carson Alan Brooks, Cooper Chance, Austin Edwards, Brady O’Neal Evans, Ashton Gray, Brody Henderson, Kash Lamar, Sean Mosley, Ethan Parmer, Austin Sanders, Jesus Sandoval, Cooper Smith, John Sturgeon and Ethan Willingham.

The next cohort begins Jan. 5, and seats remain available. For details or to apply, visit https://ce.gntc.edu/ or email the Office of Economic Development at [email protected].
