Gordon County Board of Education member Bobby Hall has died following a brief illness. He was 79.
Hall served for many years as the Post 4 representative on the Gordon County Board of Education. He first joined the board in the 1980s, took a short hiatus, and later returned to service in the early 2000s, where he remained an active member of the board.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Hall served during the Vietnam War. A lifelong resident of Gordon County, he spent his professional career working in the transportation and logistics industry.
Arrangements were incomplete at press time. Ponders Funeral Home, located at 675 Jolley Road in Calhoun, will be in charge of services.
