The Gordon County Board of Commissioners has updated the agenda for its upcoming regular meeting on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The meeting will take place at the Judicial Building Assembly Room located at 101 South Piedmont Street in Calhoun. The Work Session will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m.

In addition to the previously announced agenda items, a sixth item has been added under New Business: consideration of a request to approve a Memorandum of Understanding concerning the National Settlement with Purdue. This settlement relates to ongoing national litigation involving the opioid crisis and is expected to have financial and public health implications for participating local governments.

The complete New Business section now includes six items, ranging from facility and equipment improvements to roadway safety projects and appointments to local boards. As always, members of the public are encouraged to attend or follow the proceedings.

The agenda includes a full slate of topics including an IT Department report during the Work Session, an Executive Session, reports from county administrators and commissioners, and first readings of two ordinance amendments.
