The Gordon County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Judicial Building Assembly Room. A work session will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the regular session at 6 p.m.
During the meeting, commissioners are expected to consider a range of new business items, including the adoption of the 2026 meeting schedule and multiple departmental requests involving budget amendments, equipment, and surplus declarations.
The Sheriff’s Office and Information Technology Department have each submitted requests to deem certain items as surplus, while the Finance Department is seeking approval of both FY25 and FY26 budget amendments.
Among the key items on the agenda:
Fire & Rescue Department – Commissioners will consider accepting $39,010 from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Grant to fund the department’s Fire Hose Replacement Program. The grant requires no county match.
The department is also requesting approval to purchase an Extrication Rescue Tool Complement totaling $45,036.96, to be funded through GL Account 460-531600.
E911 Department – A proposal will be presented to approve a three-year GIS Managed Services agreement with Motorola Solutions for $135,712, budgeted at $45,237.33 annually.
Public Facilities Authority – Consideration of a resolution approving the transfer of funds to Comcast.
Board of Assessors – Request to adopt a resolution approving digest corrections.
County Administrator – Request to approve an agreement with Pearl Logic Pharma Recovery Program, which comes at no cost to the county.
