The Gordon County Elections and Registration Office is advising residents to use caution after receiving numerous questions and complaints about voter registration mailers recently sent to Gordon County voters by a third-party organization.

According to the Elections Office, the mailings were distributed by Ready to Register Inc. and were not sent by the Gordon County Board of Elections and Registration Office or the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office.

Election officials said they have also received reports that some of the mailers were addressed to deceased individuals, raising concerns that outdated data sources may have been used in the mailing process.

The Elections Office is reminding residents to be cautious before providing personally identifiable information on unfamiliar websites or to organizations they do not recognize.

Officials say anyone with questions about a mailing they received should contact Ready to Register Inc. directly at [email protected].

The Elections Office also emphasized that voters who are already registered at their current address do not need to take any action and may simply discard the mailing.

Residents can verify their voter registration status and review their voter information through Georgia’s My Voter Page https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/. Eligible but unregistered citizens may also register online through the state’s official voter registration system https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/olvr-home.

Looking ahead to this year’s election, the Gordon County Elections and Registration Office reminds voters that the registration deadline for the November 3, 2026, General Election is October 5, 2026.

Anyone with additional questions can contact the Gordon County Elections and Registration Office at 706-629-7781.
