Gordon County Fire & Rescue Sgt. Aaron King was named Firefighter of the Year during the Gordon County Fire & Rescue Awards Banquet held this evening.

The Firefighter of the Year honor is awarded annually to a member of the department who exemplifies professionalism, dedication, and service both on and off duty. Recipients are recognized for maintaining strong morale within the department, working effectively with command staff and fellow firefighters, and fostering positive relationships with the public.
