Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Issues BOLO for Possibly Armed Suspect

GORDON COUNTY, GA – The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert for a wanted suspect believed to be possibly armed.

According to deputies, warrants have been issued for Johnny Lee Burk, who is wanted in connection with multiple serious charges in Gordon County, including:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

  • One count of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime

Authorities report that Burk’s last known address is 323 Franklin Road, Plainville, Georgia. He is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds.

Deputies believe Burk may be traveling in a silver single-cab Dodge Ram pickup truck with a camper shell. The vehicle is associated with Georgia license plate PWK2138.

The sheriff’s office urges the public to exercise caution, noting the suspect may be armed. Anyone who sees Burk or has information on his whereabouts is asked not to approach him and to immediately contact local law enforcement or the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.
