Partnering closely with the Gordon County Board of Education and individual schools, the Sheriff’s Office worked to provide safety, security, and a reassuring presence for students, staff, and families.

Sheriff Mitch Ralston expressed his appreciation for the community’s cooperation, thanking students, school employees, and especially parents for helping make the morning’s return to school a success.

“Our School Resource Officers and other personnel are happy and excited about the upcoming year, and wish each and every student all the best,” Sheriff Ralston said.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to working with schools throughout the year, ensuring that Gordon County students can focus on learning in a secure environment.
