The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a Saturday morning crash in Calhoun that left an 11-year-old seriously injured after a 4-wheeler collided with a car.
Troopers were called to the scene around 10:23 a.m. on August 30, 2025, at the intersection of Pioneer Drive SE and Lois Street SE, near Union Grove Church Road.
According to investigators, the juvenile was driving a 1991 Suzuki LTE 4-wheeler north on Lois Street when they failed to stop at a stop sign. The 4-wheeler entered the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by a 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320 traveling east on Pioneer Drive.
The impact forced the 4-wheeler off the roadway, where it came to rest. Troopers said the child was wearing a helmet at the time but still sustained serious injuries. The juvenile was flown by Life Force helicopter to a medical facility. Their condition was not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
