The Georgia State Patrol has released preliminary findings from its investigation into a vehicle versus motorcycle crash Friday on Tucker Hollow Road in Gordon County that left an 18-year-old seriously injured.
According to GSP, a trooper from GSP-Calhoun responded to the two-vehicle crash at approximately 11:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by 26-year-old Ezekiel Barton of LaFayette, was traveling northbound on Tucker Hollow Road. Barton was attempting to make a left turn into a private driveway at 425 Tucker Hollow Road when the Subaru was struck on its right side by a 2025 Kawasaki 636 motorcycle.
The motorcycle, operated by 18-year-old Jayden Gilley of Calhoun, came to a final rest in the southbound lane of Tucker Hollow Road. Gilley was separated from the motorcycle during the crash and sustained suspected serious injuries.
Gilley was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment. Barton was not injured in the crash.
The Georgia State Patrol says no charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
