Hubbard Wins Democratic Primary for Public Service Commission District 3

Peter Hubbard has won the Democratic nomination for Georgia’s Public Service Commission District 3 seat, defeating Kiesha Sean Waites in Tuesday’s runoff election.

In Gordon County, voter turnout was minimal, with just 97 ballots cast. Hubbard narrowly led the local vote, earning 54 percent.

Statewide, Hubbard secured the nomination with 58 percent of the vote and will advance to the General Election in November, where he’ll face a Republican challenger.

The Public Service Commission is responsible for regulating utilities in Georgia, including electricity, natural gas, and telecommunications services.
