Katie Reynolds has been named the new Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Northwest Georgia Agriculture & Event Center in Gordon County.
The announcement was made during the Gordon County Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday night, Sept. 15.
The recently opened Agriculture & Event Center is located at 1070 Liberty Road at the Northwest Georgia Regional Fairgrounds, off Rome Road.
Reynolds is a 2024 graduate of Calhoun High School, where she was involved in several extracurricular organizations, including FFA, 4-H and HOSA. Much of her involvement focused on agriculture, an area she has been connected to throughout her life after being raised on a farm.
Her agricultural background and extracurricular experience helped Reynolds earn a Livestock Judging scholarship to Northern Oklahoma College. She graduated from the college in May with a degree in Animal Science.
Reynolds has also attended Kennesaw State University, where she is pursuing additional education in business and marketing.
During Tuesday night’s commission meeting, Reynolds discussed her vision for the Agriculture & Event Center and presented commissioners with a three-year growth plan for the facility.
In her new role, Reynolds will focus on marketing the center and coordinating events as Gordon County works to expand the use of the new facility.
The Northwest Georgia Agriculture & Event Center was developed to provide space for agricultural programs, livestock activities, community events and other gatherings while supporting the region’s agricultural community.
Reynolds’ three-year plan is expected to guide efforts to increase awareness of the facility, attract additional events and expand its role within Gordon County and the surrounding Northwest Georgia region.
