Magnitude 2.4 Earthquake Strikes Resaca, No Damage Reported

A magnitude 2.4 earthquake was recorded in the Resaca community early Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck just before 5 a.m. Saturday. The USGS reported the quake had a depth of approximately 9 kilometers, or about 5.6 miles.

Gordon County Emergency Management Agency Director Courtney Taylor said no damage has been reported following the earthquake.
