In education news, Gordon Central High School announced that Head Football Coach Marcus Gowan has resigned to take a position closer to his family in South Georgia. Coach Gowan, credited with guiding the team to its first winning season in years, expressed gratitude for his time with the program. School officials praised his dedication and leadership while emphasizing that preparations for the next chapter in Gordon Central football are already underway, including the search for a new head coach.
