The Calhoun Recreation Department has announced that new playground equipment has arrived and is currently being installed at the city park on the Palmer Memorial/River Street side of the facility.
According to a public service announcement released by the department, installation crews will be working over the next week to complete the project and prepare the new playground for public use.
Officials are asking park visitors to be mindful of construction activities, work crews and any designated construction zones while the installation is underway. Temporary restrictions or limited access to certain areas of the park may be necessary to ensure the safety of workers and visitors.
The new playground equipment is expected to provide an exciting addition to the park and offer enhanced recreational opportunities for local children and families.
The Calhoun Recreation Department thanked the community for its patience and cooperation during the installation process and said it looks forward to welcoming residents to enjoy the completed playground once construction is finished.
