    Wind chills from 5 to 15 above across much of north and portions of Middle Georgia are expected with wind chills as cold as 0 in the north Georgia mountains. Avoid prolonged exposure if possible and have a safe heating source, particularly for those who may be experiencing power outages.

Good morning from the all new Georgia 101.7 WJTH

Coming this Tuesday night to the Gordon County Board of commissioner’s meeting they’ll go out of recess on the public hearing for about 90 Acres near I-75 on Highway 41 in Resaca. There’s an application to re-zone two lots  totaling about 90 Acres from agricultural to light industrial. The plan’s of the developers are to build a 322,000 square foot facility with about 175 logistics jobs. A split decision came to the Board of Commissioners from the local Planning Commission; the Historic Preservation Commission voted to deny the application. The professional planning staff of Gordon county has recommended to Commissioners that they also deny the application from the two developers.

April 7th items are on the Gordon County Planning and Development – that’s the zoning commission – that is a meeting that starts at 6:00 on April 7th and include a request to re-zone about three acres on Yarborough Mill Road near Fairmount from agricultural use to conditional use.
