In today’s news, The Federal Bureau of Investigation Atlanta Office, released a statement regarding yesterday’s heavy law enforcement presence in the Cartersville area. According to the FBI, they joined the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Bartow County Sheriffs Department, and other agencies in executing Federal search warrants at Wellmade Industries and several Bartow County homes as part of a human/labor trafficking investigation. The agencies stressed that as this ongoing investigation continues, there is no danger to public safety. Further updates will come from the US Attorney’s Office.
