In a joint report with the National Weather Service, GEMA Director Courtney Taylor confirmed the occurrence of two EF0 tornadoes in Gordon County on Tuesday night, between 11:00 PM and midnight. The tornadoes caused significant damage to trees, homes, and barns in the affected areas.
Local public agencies acted quickly to clear obstructed roadways and ensure the safety of residents. Sheriff Mitch Ralston also confirmed one storm-related automobile accident but noted that all affected roads have now been reopened.
