Wind chills from 5 to 15 above across much of north and portions of Middle Georgia are expected with wind chills as cold as 0 in the north Georgia mountains. Avoid prolonged exposure if possible and have a safe heating source, particularly for those who may be experiencing power outages.

NGEMC Announces Drive-Thru Delays and Office Closure for Monday

North Georgia EMC (NGEMC) has announced modified operations for Monday, January 26, due to ongoing weather concerns.

NGEMC drive-thru lanes at the Calhoun, Dalton, and Fort Oglethorpe offices will open at 10 a.m. The Trion office will be closed for the day.

NGEMC officials say they will continue to monitor the weather system closely, and crews will respond to outages as they occur. Members are encouraged to use caution and stay informed as conditions develop.
