High school football action was in full swing across Northwest Georgia Friday night, with Ringgold earning a win over Gordon Lee, Dade County surviving a one-point battle with Temple and several teams putting up big offensive numbers.

Ringgold 27, Gordon Lee 14

The Ringgold Tigers came away with a 27-14 victory over the Gordon Lee Trojans. Gordon Lee found the end zone twice, but Ringgold’s offense produced 27 points to secure the 13-point victory.

Trion 38, Ridgeland 24

The Ridgeland Panthers put 24 points on the board but couldn’t keep pace with the Trion Bulldogs, who earned a 38-24 victory. Trion finished the night with a 14-point advantage.

Dade County 21, Temple 20

Dade County came out on top in one of the closest games of the night, edging Temple 21-20.

The Wolverines and Tigers were separated by just one point when the game ended, with Dade County holding on to pick up the hard-fought victory.

Bremen 62, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 0

It was a tough night for the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors as Bremen rolled to a 62-0 victory. The Blue Devils produced the highest point total among the teams in the area roundup while keeping LFO off the scoreboard.

Dalton 50, Heritage 14

The Dalton Catamounts had a big offensive night in a 50-14 victory over the Heritage Generals. Dalton reached the 50-point mark while holding Heritage to a pair of touchdowns.

Christian Heritage 41, Pepperell 24

Christian Heritage School picked up a 41-24 victory over Pepperell. The Lions scored more than 40 points on their way to a 17-point win over the Dragons.

Coahulla Creek 41, Southeast Whitfield 13

Coahulla Creek turned in another strong offensive performance, defeating Southeast Whitfield 41-13. The Colts put 41 points on the scoreboard while limiting the Raiders to 13.

Northwest Whitfield 42, Sonoraville 20

The Northwest Whitfield Bruins earned a 42-20 victory over the Sonoraville Phoenix. The Bruins reached the 40-point mark and finished with a 22-point advantage over Sonoraville.

Troup County 42, Calhoun 0

Calhoun was shut out Friday night as Troup County defeated the Yellow Jackets 42-0. The Tigers scored six touchdowns’ worth of points while keeping Calhoun off the scoreboard.

Coosa 42, Gordon Central 14

The Coosa Eagles picked up a 42-14 victory over Gordon Central. The Warriors scored 14 points, but Coosa’s offense put up 42 to pull away for the win.

Friday night’s results featured plenty of offense across Northwest Georgia, with Bremen scoring 62, Dalton reaching 50 and several other teams topping 40 points.

Ringgold, Dade County, Bremen, Dalton, Christian Heritage, Coahulla Creek, Northwest Whitfield, Troup County and Coosa were among the teams celebrating victories as another week of the high school football season came to a close.
