Georgia residents can expect a cold weekend ahead, according to an update from the National Weather Service, though the likelihood of snow remains uncertain for much of the state.
Forecasters say wintry impacts are most likely across the Carolinas, but some potential exists in Georgia as well. The highest chances for snow are focused along the Georgia–South Carolina border, where probabilities range from 10 to 50 percent late Friday into Saturday.
While widespread snowfall is not currently expected across Georgia, temperatures will remain cold, and residents—particularly in northern and eastern parts of the state—are encouraged to monitor forecasts as conditions develop.
The National Weather Service advises staying weather-aware, as even small changes in storm track or temperatures could affect local impacts. Additional updates are expected as the weekend approaches.
