Gordon County Fire & Rescue’s Station 10 in Ranger is now accepting aluminum cans for recycling as part of the “Give Burns The Boot” campaign benefiting the Georgia Firefighter Burn Foundation (GFBF).

Community members can drop off their cans in the designated trailer located outside the station at 131 U.S. Highway 411 in Ranger. The trailer will remain a permanent fixture at the site, offering residents an ongoing way to support burn survivors and fire prevention programs.

The annual “Give Burns The Boot” campaign brings together more than 100 fire departments across Georgia to raise funds for the GFBF’s mission and programs. Through the foundation’s Investment Credit Program, participating departments receive 10% of the funds collected to use locally for fire safety and burn prevention education.
