Former Calhoun City Councilman Ray Denmon was recognized Monday evening for his years of dedicated service to the city and its residents.
Prior to the start of the Calhoun City Council meeting, Denmon was honored during a special reception where he was presented with a proclamation acknowledging his commitment and contributions to the community.
In accepting the recognition, Denmon said his greatest honor was the opportunity to serve the citizens of Calhoun.
