The Sheriff’s Auxiliary presented a donation to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit during its monthly luncheon on Friday, February 27.

Auxiliary members donated $683.74 to help purchase tracking equipment for the agency’s bloodhounds, “Maggie” and “Max.” The equipment will assist the K9 Unit in search and tracking operations throughout the county.

The bloodhounds are handled by SFC Lindsey Azar, who works with “Maggie,” and Detective Cody Jones, handler for “Max.” Both dogs play a vital role in locating missing persons and assisting in criminal investigations.
