The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals and is searching for two others in connection with a series of residential burglaries reported earlier this month near Fairmount.

Deputies were dispatched to Slate Mine Road on December 8 after receiving reports of multiple burglaries. Detectives obtained surveillance video from one of the residences that captured images of a suspect vehicle leaving the area. A lookout was then issued to patrol deputies.

On December 9, a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle on Arnold Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Brandon E. McClure, 30, of Adairsville, was arrested and charged with two counts of residential burglary, two counts of felony theft, and possession of methamphetamine.

The investigation continued and led to additional arrests. On December 10, Chris Collum, 37, of Rydal, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. On December 11, Jacob E. Walters, 34, of White, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft.

Collum has since been released on bond, while McClure and Walters remain incarcerated.

Deputies are also seeking Brandon Lee Spires, 34, and Chelsea Guffey, 29, both of Bartow County, in connection with the burglaries and thefts. Authorities urge anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact law enforcement.

The investigation remains ongoing.
