SOCKS & TOBOGGANS DRIVE UNDERWAY IN CALHOUN

The Historic GEM Theatre has launched a Socks and Toboggans Donation Drive to help local residents stay warm this winter. Community members are encouraged to donate new socks and hats at several drop-off locations throughout Calhoun.

Donations can be made at the Calhoun Aquatic Center, Pickleball 706, Wolves Den Barbell Club, Calhoun Coffee Club, Cassie’s on Wall Street, Cheyenne’s Boutique, Gift of Season, Pete’s Music City, and Tot Roost & Teens. Additional drop-off locations may be added in the coming days.

The GEM Theatre will also accept donations during the first two films in its free Christmas Movie Series“The Year Without a Santa Claus” on November 22 and “The Polar Express” on November 23, with showtimes at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Donors at these screenings will receive a free popcorn as a thank-you.

This community initiative is a partnership between The GEM Theatre and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Calhoun, with support from WJTH Radio and local businesses.
