At the Gordon County College and Career Academy of Design and Advanced Manufacturing, students are putting their welding skills to the test in Andrew Troglin’s class.
One standout project came from Sonoraville High School senior Kaysen Mashburn, who designed and built a custom skateboard from scratch. His project highlights not only technical skill but also creativity and innovation.
Hands-on learning experiences like this give students the chance to apply what they’ve learned in practical, real-world ways, preparing them for future careers in design, manufacturing, and other skilled trades.
The program continues to provide students with opportunities to develop skills that go beyond the classroom, equipping them for both college and career pathways.
