The City of Calhoun has confirmed that a new Taco Bell will soon be opening on Red Bud Road.
Joey Moore, Building Official with the City’s Community Development Department, said the fast-food chain will be built on the vacant lot between Walgreens and Red Bud Liquor. Preparations are already underway, with a silt fence being installed at the site. Grading and site work are expected to begin within the next week and continue for four to five weeks, including underground detention installation.
The new restaurant will be approximately 2,105 square feet and will feature entrances from both Red Bud Road and the Walgreens easement on the west side.
Once complete, this will be the third Taco Bell in the Calhoun area. The other two locations are on Highway 53 East near Highway 312 and off the Resaca exit on Highway 41.
