Motorists are advised of an upcoming road closure affecting Brownlee Mountain Road.
Beginning at 9 a.m. today, Monday, December 15, contractors working for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will close Brownlee Mountain Road at its intersection with Highway 53. The closure is expected to remain in effect until 5 p.m. on Friday, December 19.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during the closure period. Officials urge motorists to use caution in the area and follow all posted signage and directions from work crews.
