Two Georgia lottery players are celebrating big wins after each claimed $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, held September 3, 2025.
In addition to the million-dollar prizes, one Georgia ticket-holder won $100,000 by matching numbers with the Power Play option, and six others earned $50,000 prizes. The Georgia Lottery has not yet announced where the winning tickets were purchased.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 3, 16, 29, 61, 69, with the Powerball 22. While several players across the country claimed significant prizes, no one hit the grand prize jackpot. The jackpot now climbs to an estimated $1.7 billion for the next drawing on Saturday, September 6.
Nationwide, the drawing produced additional major winners:
$2 million prizes: Four tickets sold in Michigan, Oregon, Texas, and Wyoming matched all five white ball numbers with the Power Play.
$1 million prizes: Nine tickets in other states also matched five white ball numbers.
Players across the country are expected to flock to retailers this week as excitement builds ahead of Saturday’s historic jackpot drawing.
