Two GNTC Students Awarded Gene Haas Scholarship

Two Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) students have been selected as recipients of the Gene Haas Scholarship, an award recognizing academic achievement and providing financial support to students pursuing careers in advanced manufacturing.

Jesse Nicholson of Calhoun and Mayahuel Yaoapoqa of Menlo each received the scholarship for their outstanding work in GNTC’s Precision Machining and Manufacturing program at the Floyd County Campus in Rome.

The Gene Haas Scholarship is designed to encourage students studying Precision Machining and Manufacturing or related fields. It is available to qualifying students enrolled at GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome and the Whitfield Murray Campus in Dalton.

Through this scholarship, recipients receive not only financial assistance but also recognition for their dedication to developing the technical skills essential for success in Georgia’s growing manufacturing industry.
