IMPACTS
Wind chills from 5 to 15 above across much of north and portions of Middle Georgia are expected with wind chills as cold as 0 in the north Georgia mountains. Avoid prolonged exposure if possible and have a safe heating source, particularly for those who may be experiencing power outages.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Gordon County Power Outage Update: As of 5:09pm

Georgia Power reports just one customer currently without power in Gordon County. That’s it. Praying that last house gets power soon! Stay Safe and Stay Warm.

More than 500 still without power in Gordon County. 509 total without power. Amicalola EMC reports 502 customers without power. Georgia Power 7 customers. We will continue to monitor the situation through the afternoon and will update again later today. Stay safe and stay warm.
