Calhoun residents who have questions or need help with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will have an opportunity to get one-on-one assistance next week. On Monday, August 11, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Voluntary Action Center (VAC) will partner with the Chattanooga Food Bank to host a SNAP Assistance Event at 343 South Wall Street, Calhoun, GA.
During the event, trained staff will be on hand to help attendees with a range of SNAP-related needs, including submitting new applications, checking the status of pending cases, and answering general questions about the program.
Organizers say the event is designed to help individuals and families better understand and access benefits that can assist with food costs. Attendees are encouraged to bring any necessary documents related to their case to ensure the fastest assistance possible.
The event is free and open to the public. For more details, participants can scan the QR code on event flyers or contact the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
