The Voluntary Action Center (VAC) is helping to spread holiday cheer this season by offering Senior Christmas Boxes to qualifying Gordon County residents.
This year, 150 boxes will be distributed, and as of now, 58 spots remain open. The program is available to low-income seniors, age 62 and older, who live alone or are homebound.
Each Christmas box is filled with practical household essentials such as toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, Kleenex, socks, and more. VAC hopes these items will bring a little extra comfort and joy to seniors during the holiday season.
Sign-ups are open on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled. Seniors or their loved ones may call 706-629-7283, ext. 104 to register.
