    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Angela Kay Chambers
May 29, 1957 — February 8, 2026

Angela Kay Chambers, 68, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on May 29, 1957, to the late Frank Leanord and Pauline Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Chambers Sr.; step- father, Fred Evans; in-laws, Guy Chambers, Bertharine Kay, Ted Warren, and Vennie Lou Warren; siblings, Tom Leonard, Mary Brall, Pearl LaDuke, David Leonard, Paul Leonard, and James Leonard; grandchildren, Colin Shropshire and Dalton Defilippi.

Angela worked at Echota Smoke House for many years. Later she worked at AA&T with her husband, Earl and retired as a lead creeler from Mannington. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of all her grandkids and friends of her children. She was feisty and would give her opinion but would do anything for you.

Angela is survived by her children, Donielle Defilippi (Derek), Daina Patterson (Doug), Delbert Chambers (Amy), and Earl “Bo” Chambers (Karen Rae); step-children, Earlene Chambers and Chris Chambers; siblings, May Burnham and Butch Leonard; grandchildren, Tyler Shropshire, Nick Defilippi, Dylan Defilippi, Bree Patterson, Abby Moraitakis, Caleb Chambers, Aaron Chambers, Justin Weldon, Savannah Chambers, and Bailey Chambers; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday, at 2:00 PM, from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Martenn officiating.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Angela Kay Chambers.
